Socio-economic response to the Covid-19 crisis
True to our secondary mandate of funding worthy causes, the NLC implemented both applications-based and proactive funding models with minimal disruption to our operations. Our total funding and socio-economic contribution through both modes resulted in:

Covid-19 has had a negative impact on organisations that work selflessly to serve vulnerable members of society, and the NLC recognises the challenges the pandemic creates in the delivery of services and management of operations.
For this reason, we have used our proactive funding model to assist those who needed it most.

“We see the devastation that Covid-19 has had on the ground. Being able to assist where we can, because of the assistance we get from organisations such as the NLC, is most welcome.” Nandi Madadasana from Amlobuzz (NGO), which has assumed the responsibility of distributing food parcels to communities in Gauteng.
The above was achieved despite several office closures due to employees testing positive for Covid-19.
